In this topic, we continue our discussion of adding Additional Interests/Insureds to a New Insured.

On the Detail tab, you can provide detailed information about the insured or interest that you are adding.

The buttons located on the Detail tab are described in the table below.

Save your changes and close Add/Edit Additional Interests/Insureds

Save your changes and begin a new record

Abandon your changes without saving and close Add/Edit Additional Interests/Insureds

Open the insured's address on the Google Maps, MapQuest, Rand McNally, or Yahoo Maps website using your default Web browser application

Move to the first record

Move back ten records

Move to the previous record

Move to the next record

Move forward ten records

Move to the last record

Close Add/Edit Additional Interests/Insureds

In the steps listed below, we show you how to add a new insured or interest.

  • In the Additional Interests/Insureds pane, enter the following information.
    • Name – Name of the insured or interest
    • Dba Name – Doing business as (dba) name
    • Address – Address of the insured or interest
    • Phone - Phone number of the insured or interest
    • Fax – Fax number of the insured or interest
    • Email – Email address of the insured or interest

    • Description – Brief description of the interest
    • Interest – Type of interest **
      • Additional insured

      • Additional insured / Loss payee

      • Additional insured / Waiver of subrogation

      • Blanket additional insured

      • Certificate holder

      • Lienholder

      • Loss payee

      • Mortgagee

      • Waiver of subrogation

 

** NOTE: The aforementioned list of interest types can be managed in the Data Maintenance Utility under Tables > Lookup Codes in the Additional Interests table.
