Text Messenger Setup
Available to Online Agencies who subscribe to this service.
Before using Vertafore Messenger you must set it up. Setting it up involves being provisioned for Text Messenger, clicking the setup option it and being assigned a number or using an existing one.
Open the Administration center in AMS360. Under Utilities click Text Messenger Setup.
After your agency has been provisioned for Text Messenger, you'll be notified that it is available and you can turn it on.
When you click Text Messenger Setup, a box appears with a "Turning on..." Text Messenger Setup message. Click the sliding button next to the phone number. The bar turns green and shows your phone number for texting.
You are given a SMS Phone Number based on your agency area code and zip code. Give this number to your customers to use to text you and you'll use it when you text them. You can use one of your existing numbers for texting. Advise your Account Manager when you discuss adding texting. You'll complete a special form that will be sent to Twillio for approval. That number will show on the Setup window as well. |
If you decide to turn Messenger off, notify us so that we can stop the billing. Then you'll open Text Messenger Setup. When the window opens, it will look similar to the following:
Click the sliding button next to the phone number. The bar turns grey and the messaging changes to a "Turning on..." message.
