Bank Overview
Applies to: Bank Center
The Bank Overview provides a convenient view of bank setup information. You can also modify the bank information from the overview.
If the bank is inactive, the word Inactive appears in red below the title bar.
Key Fields
General | Only fields that have data for the selected bank are shown. | |

| Balance | The current bank account balance. The balance is updated to reflect recent activity each time you access or refresh the page. |
| Type of Bank | Displays one of the following bank types: Operating or Trust. |
| Short Name | The name that is created when the bank is first set up in AMS360. This name appears on reports. |
| Address | You can view the location on a map. More.. |

| Additional bank information, such as General Ledger account, division, notes, routing number, and amount of uncleared transactions carried forward from your previous accounting system (if any). |
Grids
The sections on the right side show related information in grid format. You can collapse a grid if you don't want to display the information. Grids are collapsed by default if no data is available.
Employee Authorizations | Lists the agency employees who are authorized to access the bank. Click the Info icon to view the short name for a specific employee and whether the bank is the default. |
Options | Displays the options selected in bank setup (default bank, handwritten checks only, starting check number). |
By default, views and lists are limited to 100 items per page. In some Views you can choose to see more items, do any of the following, if available:

Would you like to...
If the information is incorrect you can edit it by doing the following:
- Click Edit Bank. This opens the Bank Setup form for the selected bank.
- Edit the fields in the form, as necessary. More...
- Click Save or Save and Close.
You can delete a bank only if there have not been any transactions posted to the bank. Generally, you should change the status to Inactive instead of deleting.
To delete a bank:
- Click Delete in the toolbar.
- If the bank can be deleted, a message is displayed asking you to confirm the deletion. Click OK.
- If the bank cannot be deleted because transactions exist, a message is displayed. Click OK to acknowledge the message. See instructions below to change the status to inactive.
- Click Edit Bank in the toolbar.
- On the Bank data entry form, expand the Account Setup section. Change the status by selecting/clearing the Inactive check box. More...
- Save and close the form.
