Broker Overview
Applies to: Broker Center
The Broker Overview displays a view of frequently-used broker information (Type of broker, Contact (if a brokerage firm), Address, and Commission Information). This information is entered when the broker is first created in AMS360. If the broker is inactive, then the word Inactive appears in red below the title bar.

| Payable Balance | Displays the commission amount that is due the broker, if any. |
| Receivable Balance | Displays the premium amount owed the agency, if any, by the broker. |
| Type of Broker | Displays one of the following: Firm or Individual. |
| Net/Gross | Indicates whether the broker receives net or gross commission. |
| Tax ID | Displays the social security number if the broker is an individual or the tax id if a brokerage firm. The Tax ID is used for reporting commissions earned to the Internal Revenue Service. |
| Contact | Displays the broker contact name. For a brokerage firm, the brokerage firm contact is displayed, if entered in broker setup. |
1099 Category 1099 Type | Displays the category and type for reporting commission income on the broker W2. |
Grid
The sections on the right side show related information in grid format. You can collapse a grid if you don't want to display the information. Grids are collapsed by default if no data is available.
Commission Setup | Lists the commission criteria and associated amounts entered for the broker or brokerage in Broker Setup. Click the Info icon to view the specific list of criteria and the linked commission amount. |
By default, views and lists are limited to 100 items per page. In some Views you can choose to see more items, do any of the following, if available:

If the information is incorrect you can edit it by doing the following:
- Click Edit Broker. This opens the Broker Setup form for the selected broker.
- Edit the fields in the form, as necessary. More...
- Click Save or Save and Close.
You can delete a broker record only if no associated transactions exist. Generally, you should change a broker's status to Inactive instead of deleting.
To delete a broker:
- From the Broker Overview, click Delete on the toolbar.
- If the broker can be deleted, a message appears asking you to confirm the deletion. Click OK.
- If the broker cannot be deleted because transactions exist, a message appears saying the broker cannot be deleted. Click OK to acknowledge the message.
- To change the employee's status to inactive:
- Click Edit Broker from the toolbar in Broker Overview. On the Brokere Setup form, change the status to inactive. More...
