Employee Overview

The Employee Overview provides a convenient view of basic information about an employee, including a picture (if available). Employee information is pulled from the Employee Setup form, and can be modified if you have appropriate security permissions.
AMS360 includes User ID named Administrator. This User ID is used for various security features and cannot be changed or deleted. The user Administrator is not counted against your total licenses available. For more information see User Security and Logging In.
Key Fields
General Information | Only fields that have data for the selected employee are shown. | |
| Payable Balance | Currently owed to the employee from the commissions payable GL account. |
| Type | Whether the employee is an Exec, Rep, and/or Sales Center Rep. |
| Short Name | The name referenced in GL accounts associated with employees. |

| Residence, Business, Fax, Cell, and Pager | Displays the employee's phone numbers. |

To change the setup information for an employee:
- Click Edit Employee. This opens the Employee Setup form for the selected employee.
- Edit the fields in the form, as necessary. More...
- Click Save or Save and Close.
You can delete an employee record only if no associated transactions exist. Generally, you should change an employee's status to Inactive instead of deleting.
You cannot delete:
- The Administrator user. This user cannot be changed or deleted.
- An employee record with transactions such as checks or receipts.
To delete an employee:
- Click Delete Employee in the toolbar.
- If the employee can be deleted, a message is displayed asking you to confirm the deletion. Click OK.
If the employee cannot be deleted because transactions exist, a message is displayed. Click OK to acknowledge the message. Follow the instructions below to change the status to inactive.
- Click Edit Employee in the toolbar.
