Copy Line of Business
Use Copy Line of Business to copy line of business detail from one policy to another within the same customer or another. You may want to set up a policy template for common lines of business such as Private Passenger Auto or homeowners. The template can include line of business coverages and limits that can be copied to your new policy, saving data entry time.
Accessing Copy Line of Business
- Search for and open the customer you want to copy the line of business to.
- In the Customer Center, on the Views menu, click Policies.
- Identify the policy to which you want to copy the LOB. Click the link in the Policy # column. The Policy data entry form opens.
- In the Line of Business section, click Copy Line of Business.

Customer |
Select the customer that has the policy and line of business you want to copy From. The currently opened customer defaults to this field. Use Search to locate another customer. |
Policy # |
Select the policy you want to copy From. The policies for the customer selected appear in the list. |
Tran Date |
Select the transaction date of the policy you want to copy From. |
Refresh |
Click Refreshto display the lines of business attached to the selected customer, policy, and transaction date. |

To select the lines of business you want to copy, do one of the following: For one line of business, click the row you want to copy.
For All lines of business, mark the Select All box. |
Description |
The description entered for the line of business. This is not the same as the Policy transaction description. |
Copy Selected Line of Business |
After selecting the lines of business to copy, click this button. All selected lines of business are copied to the To policy. |
Cancel Copy |
Use to cancel the process and return to the open Policy data entry form. |
