Select Import Vendor and File

Vendor
|
From the list, choose the vendor from which you want to import policy data. If the vendor does not appear in the list, click the Setup link and add the information for the vendor.

If multiple import files exist for the vendor you select, then this dialog box appears for you to choose the file you want to import. Select the file and click Open. The file name appears in the Import File field.
If you select the wrong file, clickClear(at the bottom of the data entry form) and choose the vendor again.

Setup
|
Use this link to set up integration for a vendor. See the Integration Partners section of the User Options topic for more information.

Import File
|
Display only. The name of the file to import. This information is based on the selected vendor.
|
Delete File after Import
|
Choose this option to remove the file from the vendor directory after the data is imported. Vertafore suggests using this option for maintenance reasons.

Import To
|
Create New Customer
|
Use this link if customer information does not exist for the policy data you are importing. Clicking this link opens the Customer data entry form where you can create the customer record.
|
Customer
|
Select the customer whose policy information you want to import to. If you select import from the Customer Center or the Policy form, this information pre-fills for you. You can use the Search link to select another customer.
|
Search
|
If the customer information did not pre-fill, click this link to find the customer whose policy information you want to import.
|
Policy
|
Select this option to import the data as a policy.
Create New
|
Select this option to create a new policy using the imported data.
|
Update Existing
|
Select this option to create a new transaction for the selected policy from the imported data.
Policy #: Select the policy you want to update.
|
Renew/ Rewrite Existing
|
Select this option to create a renewal or rewrite for the selected policy.
Policy #: Select the policy you want to renew/rewrite.
|
|
Submission
|
Select this option to import the data as a submission.
Create New
|
Select this option to create a new submission using the imported data.
Group: Select an existing submission group from the list or enter a new group.
Date: Enter a submission date or select a date using the .
|
Update Existing
|
Select this option to create a new transaction for the selected submission from the imported data.
Submission #: Select the number of the submission to update from the list.
|

Data from Import File
|
Policy #
|
The Policy # defaults from the import file, but can be changed. It will be the number of the policy or submission once import completes.
If you are updating an existing policy or submission, or renewing/rewriting an existing policy, enter that policy or submission number.
If you are creating a new policy or submission, enter the new number.

Agency Bill
|
The billing option defaults from the import file, and will be the policy or submission's bill method once import completes.
If you are Creating a New or Renewing/Rewriting an Existing policy or submission and the bill method is not correct, select the appropriate method.
If you are Updating an Existing policy or submission, the bill method defaults from the selected policy or submission and cannot be changed.

Direct Bill
|
Customer Name
|
Display only. The Customer Name defaults from the import file. Once import completes, it pulls to one or more of the name fields in the First Named Insured section of the Policy data entry form.
|
Effective Date
|
The Effective and Expiration Dates default from the import file, and will be the term of the policy or submission once import completes.
If you are Creating a New or Renewing/Rewriting an Existing policy or submission and the dates are not correct, enter the appropriate dates.
If you are Updating an Existing policy or submission, the dates default from the selected policy or submission and cannot be changed.

Expiration Date

Transaction Effective Date
|
The Transaction Effective Date defaults from the import file, and will be the effective date of the transaction once the import completes.
If you are Updating an Existing policy or submission, the date defaults from the selected policy or submission, but can be changed if necessary.
If you are Creating a New or Renewing/Rewriting an Existing policy or submission the effective date cannot be changed.

Line of Business
|
Display only. The Line of Business defaults from the import file, and will be the line of business on the policy or submission when the import completes.
|
Company
|
Display only. The Company defaults from the import file, and will be the company assigned to the policy or submission once import completes.
If you are Creating a New or Renewing/Rewriting an Existing policy or submission and do not agree with the default company, you may select a different company from the list.
If you are Updating an Existing policy or submission, the company defaults from the selected policy or submission and cannot be changed.

Transaction
|
The Transaction defaults from the import file, but can be changed. This will be the transaction type on the policy or submission once import completes.
|
Description
|
The Description defaults from the import file, but can be changed. This will be the description on the policy or submission once import completes.
|
|
Import
|
When you have made your selections, click Import to load the data from the import file into AMS360 based on your selections.
|
Clear
|
Click Clear to reset the data entry form and clear all the fields and options.
