Code Maintenance Utility
Your agency may use certain codes and/or descriptions that conflict with codes already in AMS360. When you upgrade to a new AMS360 release that includes new ACCORD standard codes, AMS360 notifies you of each of the code conflicts.
You can resolve each conflict using the pop-up dialog box(es) you receive or wait until later and use the Code Maintenance for all. Either method enables you to choose which code and/or description to use to resolve the conflict(s) found in your system.
Access to this feature is only available if you are logged into AMS360 as Administrator or Owner. |
For information about codes and descriptions, refer to Company Plan Setup, Coverage and Endorsement Setup, and List Setup.
This is a single user process. All users must be logged out of AMS360.
The message continues to appear when you access a different center, until all conflicts are resolved. To close the message manually, clear the Don't remind me again this session check box.
You can also access the Code Maintenance Utility via the Administration Center.
- Open the Administration Center.
- On the Utilities menu, click Code Maintenance.
If other users are logged in to AMS360, a message states that you can view conflicts.
This is a single user process. All users must be logged out of AMS360.
The following options are available.
Retain | Use to keep the Prior Code/Description in addition to the Permanent Code/Description. If Retain is checked, checking Merge will clear the check for Retain. |
Merge | Use to have the Prior Code/Description merged into the Permanent Code/Description. If Merge is checked, checking Retain will clear the check for Merge. |
Check All-Retain | Select this option if you want to retain all of the Prior Codes/Descriptions in addition to the Permanent Codes/Descriptions. You will not have to individually check each Retain box if there are several Codes/Descriptions. |
Process Retain/Merge | Select this option to process action of Retain or Merge for checked grid rows. If no conflicts after processing, the lines no longer appear in the grid because the conflict no longer exists. |
Cancel | Cancel closes the Code Maintenance Utility without processing checked grid rows and without saving user changes to Prior Code/Description. |
