POST / policy Endpoint

A new EMS endpoint, POST / policy, has been added to allow an AMS360 user to create a new policy for an AMS360 customer. This endpoint will be used primarily initial policy creation, and it is similar in function to the existing “Create New Policy” winform.

At the time of this release, supplemental policy information such as configuring lines of business will need to be done via the AMS360 application.

To use this endpoint, a user will first need to authenticate with EMS. Once authenticated, a call is made to the POST / policy endpoint that includes the appropriate request. Please see the EMS API documentation for detailed visualizations of expected request-and-response bodies.

Once a policy is created via EMS, it will be available in the “Policies” view in the Customer Center for viewing, and to modify as desired.
