Updated Building Descriptions for LOB Premise Information

Previously, users saw a pop-up message when editing a Building Description that read, "This change could impact any of the following lines of business on this policy that reference this Location/Building,” This messaging set an expectation that the change would flow to the LOB, yet it did not behave like the other mapped fields.

Now, the function "Get All Policy Locations" updates building descriptions that are changed in the 125, 130 sections of basic policy information.

To perform this function, do the following:

  • Open a Commercial Property policy that has at least one location and one building under a location

  • Open the LOB and view how the Get All Policy Locations maps the initial location address and building description

  • Save and close to return to the 125, 130 section and edit the building location. Click OK in the prompt that states you are making changes that will affect the forms

  • Go back into the LOB and see that the building description was not updated. Get All Policy Locations also does not catch the update

  • Save and close to return to the 125, 130 section, but this time edit any address. Once again, click OK in the prompt

When you return to the LOB, you will see the address was automatically updated.
