Work with Outlook Add-In
-
The Add-in provides a user with a time saving and efficient way of creating an activity or an activity and suspense directly from an email in your Outlook inbox.
-
Moving forward, there are THREE versions of Microsoft Outlook:
-
Classic (desktop): The official Microsoft E-O-L (end-of-life) date is 2029
-
Until 2029, users can toggle between the New Outlook and the Classic Outlook (desktop). This may potentially be prevented for agencies that manage their 365 accounts via an agency admin, but it is technically supported by Microsoft until sometime in 2029.
-
-
New (desktop)
-
New (web browser)
-
-
Choose the correct version of the Add-in. There are two versions of the Outlook Add-in for AMS360. Review these requirements to select the one that is right for you.
-
The old AMS360 Outlook Add-in
-
This will only work for the Classic Outlook (desktop) and will continue to work as-is with no upgrades or changes. This is the only option for Native non-VSSO users.
-
Users on the New Outlook (desktop or web) will not be able to access the Old Add-in and instead should install the New Add-in. They must be VSSO users.
-
-
The new AMS360 Outlook Add-in
-
Only for VSSO users on AMS360 Version 25R1 and above.
-
Compatible with Outlook for Web, New Outlook and Classic Outlook.
-
-
Old Outlook Add-In
-
For Native (non-VSSO) users and users still on AMS360 versions before 25R1. Only compatible with Classic Outlook.
-
Steps to install:
-
Download File Name: AMS360OutlookAddin.msi
Download Size: 1.8 MB
-
This requires Visual Studio Tools for Office Runtime installed. Download from Microsoft.
-
After opening Outlook, you will receive a prompt to log into AMS360 Outlook Add-In for Activity & Suspense.
-
If you have native credentials, fill out the same login information that you used in AMS360; then click "Log In."
-
If you have VSSO credentials, do not fill out any information that appears in the pop-up box. Instead, click the Vertafore Single Sign-On hyperlink that appears below the native login. From here, you will see the traditional AMS360 VSSO login screen. After logging in with your VSSO credentials, an additional window will pop up where you can enter your agency number. Once you enter this information and click the 'Continue' button, you will be redirected to Outlook.
-
If you have Federated (SSO) credentials, do not fill out any information that appears in the pop-up box. Instead, click the Vertafore Single Sign-On hyperlink that appears below the native login. From here, you will see the traditional AMS360 VSSO login screen. However, DO NOT log into this screen. Instead, scroll to the bottom and click on the "Sign In with Enterprise SSO" hyperlink, after which you will continue to log in as usual. After logging in, an additional window will appear where you are asked to enter your agency number. Once you enter this information and click the "Continue" button, you will be redirected to Outlook.
