Data Level Security: Customer Access

Some reports use the Customer Access security model for determining what data gets used for those reports. The logic for determining what gets included in these reports is based on the following criteria:

  • Only users with access to secured customers can access secured customer data.
  • Access to non-secured customer data requires the user has:
    • Authorized access for a customer’s business unit,
    • OR the user exists in a customer’s service group,
    • OR the user is authorized for any of the customer’s policy business units,
    • OR the user exists in any of the customer’s policy service groups.
Reports that rely upon Customer Access security are:
  • Active Clients
  • Cancellation
  • Customer Analysis
  • Policy Expiration
  • X-Date
