The fields on the Generic Code Maintenance page change, based on the file name you select. The following fields are common to most Generic Code Maintenance pages.
Date Off and Remarks are optional fields.
File Name - the system name (e.g. CREDIT.TERMS) for the file you are updating. Use the Search function to select a valid file name. Required field. The Description that appears next to the File Name is a read-only field; you cannot change it.
Code - the code name you are adding or updating. You can use the Search function to select an existing code, or you can type the code you want to add. Required.
Description - the explanation for the code name. The Description pre-fills for most codes. You can change the Description unless you access a restricted code. An error message appears if you try to change a restricted code description.
Date Off - the calendar date that the code is no longer effective. You can use the calendar function to select the Date Off. Optional.
Date Off Remarks - the reason the code is no longer used. Optional.
