Status Codes Overview

Use status codes with client information to identify or "flag" specific information about a client, or to identify loss or claim status information.

For example, you might use a status code to indicate whether someone is a prospect or a broker, or to indicate a claim status, such as "open" or "in subrogation."

Required status codes pre-installed on your system

Some status codes come installed on your system. Of those, status codes marked with an asterisk (*) in the Search file are reserved by the system to perform specific program functions. You cannot change these codes. Instead, you can add extra codes to meet your agency's needs. For more information, see Add a Status Code.
