Client and Additional Interest addresses use an authorization source known as Melissa Data to perform address look-up functions for U.S. addresses. Do a search by using type-ahead auto-completion in the Address #1 or Mail Address field to select the optimal match. An address validation indicator check mark (Melissa Address Key or MAK in Report Builder and ODBC) next to the Address section will show different colors based on the level of verification.

Address Validation Tips

• When an address with a ZIP Code that does not exist in the Sagitta database is selected from the drop-down menu, the new ZIP code is added to the ZIPS file.

• P.O. Box numbers are returned without the periods, e.g., PO.

• Most P.O. Box numbers are not included as part of the validated address drop-down menu.

• Search for "Apartment" by using Apt, and search for "Suite" by using Ste. or Ste (Suite).
