Making Changes to the Policies Tab

You can return to the Policies tab from any other tabs in the Certificate wizard to change information on the Policies tab.

From the Policies tab, you can:

Add a policy or policies to existing policy selections

You can return to the Policies tab to add more policies for inclusion on the certificate(s) you are creating.

Once you return:

  1. Select the policy or policies from the Policies grid on the page, and then click the appropriate Line of Business link (e.g., G/L, Excess, Auto, etc.) to direct the policy to the appropriate section of the certificate.

You can select multiple, contiguous policies by pressing the Shift key and clicking each policy that you want to include. You can select multiple, non-contiguous policies by pressing the CTRL key and clicking each policy that you want to include.

  1. Click the option or button that brings you to your next task. You may receive the following message:
    Based upon your changes, some AOIs/Holders previously selected may be removed. Continue?

Delete a policy or policies from existing policy selections

You can return to the Policies tab to delete policies previously selected for inclusion on the certificate(s) you are creating.

Once you return:

  1. Remove the policy or policies that you do not want to include on the certificate by backspacing over the policy number.
  2. Click the option or button that brings you to your next task. You may receive the following message:
    Based upon your changes, some AOI's/Holders previously selected may be removed. Continue?
  1. Do one of the following:

Save your changes.

You must go to the Additional/Other Interests Page -- AOI/Holders Tab to make any changes necessary.

No

Discard any selections or changes made to the Policies tab.

Move a policy from one section of the certificate to another

You can return to the Policies tab to move one or more policies from one section of the certificate to the other for pre-fill on the Certificate of Insurance.

Once you return:

  1. Remove the policy or policies that you do not want to move by backspacing over the policy number.
  2. Select the policy or policies from the Policies grid on the page, and then click the appropriate Line of Business link (e.g., G/L, Excess, Auto, etc.) to direct the policy to the appropriate section of the certificate. If you have made a "one for one" change -- that is, removing a policy from one section to move it to another section -- you can move to another tab in the wizard without receiving any message. Otherwise, you may receive the following message:

    Based upon your changes, some AOI's/Holders previously selected may be removed. Continue?
  1. Do one of the following:

You must go to the ACORD Additional Interest Group Code Selections Page -- Group Codes Tab or ACORD Additional/Other Interests Page -- AOI/Holders Tab to make any changes necessary.

Discard any selections or changes made to the Policies tab.

Select an option or options not previously selected

You can return to the Policies tab to select options not previously selected on the ACORD Certificate Policy Selections Page -- Policies Tab.

These options are found in the following sections:

  • Include on the Certificate Description of Operations
  • Include on the AOI/Holders Tab
  • Other

Once you return:

  1. Select one or more options by clicking in the check box beside the option. A check mark should appear beside any option selected.

  1. Click the option or button that brings you to your next task. You may receive the following message: Based upon your changes, some AOI's/Holders previously selected may be removed. Continue?

  1. Do one of the following:

You must go to the ACORD Additional Interest Group Code Selections Page - Group Codes Tab or the Additional/Other Interests Page - AOI/Holders Tab to make any changes necessary.

De-select an option or options previously selected

You can return to the Policies tab to "de-select" options previously selected on the ACORD Certificate Policy Selections Page -- Policies Tab.

These options are found in the following sections:

  • Include on the Certificate Description of Operations
  • Include on the AOI/Holders Tab
  • Other
  1. "De-select" one or more options by clicking in the check box beside the option. The check mark beside the previously selected option should disappear.
  1. Click the option or button that brings you to your next task. You may receive the following message: Based upon your changes, some AOI's/Holders previously selected may be removed. Continue?
  1. Do one of the following:
