Changing a Client Code

You can change the code assigned to a client. The change affects active and future transactions only.

Prerequisite

Adhere to your agency guidelines when assigning a client code.

To change the client code

  1. Look up and load the client. The span Client Details page appears.

  1. Click Edit.

  2. Click Change (in the Basic Client Title Bar menu). A message prompts you to enter a new client code.

  1. Type the client code; then click OK.

    If the client code already exists, a message prompts you to append a number. Click Yes to append the number "1". For example, if the existing client code is SMITHJA2, the new client code is SMITHJA21. Click No to end the procedure without changing the client code.

    The Client Details page now shows the new client code.

  2. Click Save.
