Agency Analytics Overview

Introduction

Agency Analytics includes separately licensed products from Vertafore which require the extraction of a subset of Sagitta data. The extraction is performed on a daily basis via the Welland Export product and the extracted data is aggregated and made available in the Agency Analytics products (e.g., Executive and Producer dashboards).

Topology

The Sagitta Agency Analytics support includes the extraction of a subset of Sagitta data for presentation in a dashboard. The extraction is performed on a daily basis via the Welland Export product. Extracted data is transferred via the Welland Export to the Vertafore SFTP Server and then aggregated in the Sagitta Data Warehouse. At this point the data is available in the Sagitta Agency Analytics Dashboard.

 

Sagitta Database Server

A Universe account, WELLAND.EXPORT.AA, is added to each agency site utilizing the Agency Analytics dashboard. The WELLAND.EXPORT.AA account is a sibling account of the GEM.DATA account. The account contains schema information, incremental index progrSagitta and an AUDIT.LOG file containing information regarding the most recent export. For incremental extractions indices are added to the Sagitta database files to be extracted in order to track and capture the changes.

Agency Analytics Export Server

The Welland Export product runs on a Windows server with Microsoft SQL Server. The Welland Export software in conjunction with files and progrSagitta in a Welland Universe account on the database server contain the schema for extracted data, data validation rules and data extraction routines. The Welland Export is a Windows service that has the capability to execute various job types including data extractions for initial loads and incremental updates as well as database sync checks which may be scheduled or run on an on-demand basis. The Export includes data validation rules for data typing, mandatory field requirements and field relationships. These rules help to insure that the extracted data is appropriate for and compatible with the Sagitta Agency Analytics Dashboard products.

Vertafore SFTP Server

The Vertafore SFTP Server is housed in the Vertafore Data Center and is utilized as a staging area for extracted data. The Welland Export process extracts the appropriate data, encrypts it and performs an SFTP transfer to the Vertafore SFTP Server in a location designated for the agency. The SFTP Server requires an agency id, (i.e. Sagitta database Instance ID), and credentials. The agency Instance ID and SFTP credentials are configured as part of the Welland Export installation, configuration and on-boarding process.

Agency Analytics Web Application and Sagitta Data Warehouse

The Agency Analytics Web Application is hosted in the Vertafore Data Center along with the Sagitta Data Warehouse. Together they provide the basis for the Sagitta Agency Analytics Dashboard products. An agency must be licensed to access the Agency Analytics Web Application Dashboard products. Once licensed, agency user credentials are created for each user that has access to the Dashboard.
