Apply for a License

You can submit an online license application for an individual or an agency.

Services include the following:

New Insurance Licenses

To submit an online application for a new insurance license or add a new line of authority (qualification) to an existing license:

  1. Click the New Insurance License button.
  2. In the Is this a Resident or Non-Resident license? field, click to select either the Resident or Non-Resident radio button.
  3. In the Are you an individual or a firm? field, click to select either the Individual or Firm radio button.
  4. Click the Continue button. Depending on your selections, the Individual_Resident_License_Application, Firm_Resident_License_Application, Individual_Non_Resident_License_Application, or Firm_Non_Resident_License_Application page will open.

New Adjuster Licenses

To submit an online application for a new insurance adjuster license or add a new line of authority (qualification) to an existing license:

  1. Click the New Adjuster License button.
  2. In the Are you an individual or a firm? field, click to select either the Individual or Firm radio button.
  3. In the Are you licensed as an adjuster in your resident state? field, click select either the Yes or No radio button.
  4. If you selected Firm in step 2, proceed to step 7

OR

If you selected Individual in step 2 and Yes in step 3, then in the Are you amending an existing resident license or applying for non-resident license? field, click to select either the Resident or Non-Resident radio button, and then proceed to step 7

  1. If you selected Individual in step 2 and No in step 3, then in the Are you applying for a resident license? field, click to select the Yes radio button if you want to apply for a resident state adjuster license, and then proceed to step 7

OR

If you selected Individual in step 2 and No in step 3, then in the Are you applying for a resident license? field, click to select the No radio button if your resident state does not offer an adjuster license and you want to apply for a Designated Home State (DHS) adjuster license from a different state

  1. In the Do you have an existing Designated Home State (DHS)? field, click to select either the I have a DHS or I need a DHS radio button.
  2. Click the Continue button. The Adjuster_DHS_License_Application page will open.

Other Licenses

If you could not find the license type you want to apply for in the New Insurance Licenses section, you may be able to find it in the Other Licenses section. AgencyEDGE offers electronic non-resident individual and firm license application services for certain license types and states where the applicant is not required to hold an active, resident state license.

To submit an online application for a special, non-resident insurance license:

  1. Click the Other Licenses button.
  2. In the Are you an individual or a firm? field, click to select either the Individual or Firm radio button.
  3. Click the Continue button. Depending on your selections, the Individual License Application, or Firm_License_Application page will open.
