Using the Work Queue, you can Open, Edit, Reassign, Reschedule, Route, Set Attributes, Set Priority, Delete, Close, and/or Complete a WorkSmart task.
You can see the Work Queue by clicking in the left rail.
The following sections detail the features and functionality of the Work Queue.
The title area of the Work Queue provides several filtering options for you.

- Filter WorkSmart tasks and diaries by Today, +7 (over 7 days) Days, +30 (over 30 days), or show All. The filters are based on work step due dates.

Once you complete a task to the point where the next work step or steps are to be performed by another person, click , and then click either Reassign or Complete. Reassigning a task moves it into the Work Queue of the person that you select. Completing a task moves it to the next predetermined step in the workflow.
A task is a notification of work to be performed. Tasks typically move along a predefined workflow to ensure that the correct people see their work at the appropriate time. Diary Items are reminders of work to be done. They are similar to tasks but do not move along a workflow and have limited features beyond serving as a reminder.
Both tasks and diary items are displayed in the Work Queue with the oldest items appearing on top. Tasks display the workflow name and the step. For example, a task in the Audit workflow and in the Processing step is displayed as Audit: Processing.
Diary Items are shown in the Diary step with a description of diary.
Both tasks and diary items display the name of the agency or organization associated with the task.
