Mobile Home

In this topic, we continue our discussion about managing Units At Risk on a submission.

You can list any mobile home related property exposures that need to be covered on the policy in extensive detail using the Mobile Home tab.

The table that follows, we describe the function of each of the standard buttons that appear on the Mobile Home tab and the various Add/Edit Mobile Home tabs.

In the steps below, we show you how to add a mobile home record. With practice, you will be able to modify our steps to edit existing mobile home records as needed.

  1. Click Add.

  1. In the Location Information pane, enter information about the location of the mobile home and the insured in the boxes provided. As an alternative, you can click Copy From Insured to copy the insured's address information.

  1. In the Rating Info pane, enter the relevant rating information for the mobile home in the boxes.
    1. Unit Type – type of mobile home unit
    2. Protection Class – level of protection available based on availability of water
    3. Mobile Home Park Name – name of mobile home park where the unit resides
    4. Length – length, in feet, of the mobile home
    5. Territory ID – territory ID code
    6. Serial Number – serial number of the unit
    7. Width – width, in feet, of the mobile home
    8. Year Built – year that the mobile home was constructed
    9. Construction – type of material used in the construction of the unit
    10. Model – model name or type of the until
    11. Distance To Coast – distance to the nearest coast line, in miles
    12. Roof Type – type of roof materials used
    13. Tie Downs – indicates whether the unit is tied down
    14. Sinkhole – indicates whether the property is near a sinkhole
    15. Year Roof Updated – year in which the roof was last updated or replaced

  1. In the Limits pane, enter information about the limits, values, premiums, and deductibles for the mobile home unit. Enter values or limits in the Values/Limits boxes and enter premium amounts in the Premium boxes.
    1. Dwelling Value – value of the dwelling
    2. Personal Property – personal property within the mobile home
    3. Other Structures – other structures on the property to be covered on the policy
    4. Personal Liab – personal liability
    5. Mobile Home – limits for the mobile home
    6. Addl. Living Expense – additional living expenses to be covered on the policy
    7. Med Pay – medical payments
    8. Deduct (All) – total calculated premium
    9. Flood Deduct – flood deductible
    10. Wind Deduct – wind damage deductible
    11. Wind Covered – indicates whether wind damage is covered
    12. Total Premium – total premium amount
