Rename Current File

The Rename Current File command is used to rename the currently opened file in ImageRight with the selected submission in AIM.

At this time, only the file number and file name can be changed. Location, drawer, and file type are not available with the Rename Current File command.

When renaming the file, the file name and file number will default to the configuration as setup in the File Creation Defaults in Data Maintenance Utility (DMU).

You can manually enter a file name and number to override the default settings. The ImageRight file will be renamed accordingly. You can also link the renamed file to the current submission if a submission is open by clicking the Link Renamed IR File To Submission command.

After renaming, if there are submissions and/or suspenses linked to the current file, the links will be updated automatically.

Renaming the ImageRight file creates an entry in the AIM activity log using the following format:

RENAME FILE: (followed by the ImageRight file number and drawer)
