Copy Certificate of Liability
You can copy a Certificate of Liability Insurance (Cert) in the eForms Manager. This is especially helpful at renewal because the copy includes the certificate information and all the holders.
The information you enter on the form iusing the editing feature is saved with the form in eForms Manager. The data is not saved in the policy database and does not flow back to the policy data entry form. |
- In the Customer Center,search for and select the customer.
- On the Views menu, click Certs.
- Click the certificate number of the certificate you want to copy.The eForms Manager opens.
- In the Customer/Policy Transaction/Form Tree right-click the form and then click Copy.
You can copy a certificate at any time by doing the following:
- In eForms Manager Customer/Policy Transaction/Form Control, select the Master Certificate or the certificate for the specific holder that you want to copy.
- From the menu select Create > Certificate of Liability > Copy. Or right-click the form you want to copy and choose Copy from the menu that appears.
- The Copy Certificate of Liability appears for you to make your selections. All information, including attachments, notes and holders, copies to a new certificate.
- Enter a new Certificate # and Description. You can also enter a new Description of Operations and Note/Message.
- When you have finished making your selections, click Create. The newly copied certificate appears for editing.
After selecting Copy Certificate of Liability (Cert) from the Create menu, the copy cert selection form appears with the following fields:

Use this field to assign an agency-defined certificate number. You can use any combination of letters and numbers. Example 04WKCOMPFJ001 - 04for the two digit year, WKCOM for Worker's Comp, FJfor the initials of the person entering the certificate, and001an incremental number. |

Description |
Use this field to enter a description for the certificate that will distinguish it from other certificates. |

Description of Operations |
Use to enter the description that you want to appear on the certificates. The description you enter in this field appears when you enter holders. For each holder you can add to the description or enter a different description if a specific holder requires it. For more information see Add/Edit Certificate Holders. |

Choose this link when you have made your selections for the certificate and are ready to create the form and add holders. See Add/Edit Certificate Holders for more information. |
