AL3 Retrieval Utility

This utility provides a way for AMS360 Customer Care to access the AL3 file sent through download or Single Tran Import, minimizing the need to call a company or IVANS to request the file.

Download transactions that can be retrieved are:

To access the AL3 Retrieval Utility:

From a center or data entry form that has a Toolbox menu, click Toolbox > Integration > AL3 Retrieval (Customer Support).

You must have Full Access to Menu-Toolbox>Integration>Export/Import to use this utility.

Transaction

Select from one of the following download transactions entered for the past year to the current date:

  • Policy  

  • Direct Bill Commission Statement  

  • Email Transaction

Type in a Policy number to help find what you are looking for in the list.

Fields displayed in the list are:

  • Policy Number

  • Transaction Effective Date

  • Company Short Name

  • Policy Type

  • Transaction Type

  • Process Date

View AL3 File Immediately

Select this box to view the saved AL3 file in Notepad or other .txt  program.

Get AL3

Select to retrieve the AL3 from the database. The Save dialog appears. (The file name is AL3ForSupport.AL3.AL3andSave as Type is *AL3).

You can change the AL3ForSupport to a more meaningful name designate a location for the file to be saved.

Save

The AL3 file is saved to the specified location.

If View AL3 File Immediately is checked, the file opens in Notepad or other .txt program.

Cancel

The save dialog closes and AL3 file is not saved.
