Coverage and Endorsement Setup
AMS360 includes standard Coverages and Endorsements that are associated with specific Lines of Business. Use this setup feature to add state or company-specific coverages and endorsements.
From any center or data entry form that has a Toolbox menu, click Toolbox > System Administration > Customer Policy Setups >Coverages.
You must have proper authorization to access Coverage and Endorsement Setup.
To add a new coverage, click New, or to edit an existing coverage, clickEdit. This opens the data entry fields.

What is this?

Description
|
Enter a unique description that appears in the Coverages and Endorsementslist.

Code
|
Enter a unique code to identify this Coverage or Endorsement.
|
Default Form #
|
This number identifies the form number that outlines the covered perils. When the Coverage or Endorsement is selected, the number defaults to the policy or supporting form, but can be changed.
|
Business Type
|
Select whether the Coverage or Endorsement should appear for Personal lines, Commercial lines, or both.
|
Coverage Type
|
Identify the type of Coverage or Endorsement as Property, Liability, both, or neither.

|
Coverage Flag

Policy Level Coverage
|
If this is a Policy Level Coverage check this option. Only Coverages with this flag appear in the Coverage list at the Policy level.
These coverages are listed in the Policy Coverage sub-section of the Commercial Information section of the Policy data entry form.

Active
|
Verify that Active is checked. This causes the Coverage or Endorsement to appear in the Coverage list.

AMS360 includes a set of permanent coverages and endorsements (identified by an 'X' in the Permanent column) that cannot be deleted. standard Coverages and Endorsements are permanent.
You can edit certain fields for permanent Coverages and Endorsements or you can change the status, which controls whether the Coverage or Endorsement appears in lists throughout AMS360. See Workflow: Add, Edit, and Delete Coverages and Endorsements for further instructions.
Vertafore suggests that you use caution when editing permanent coverages and endorsements as it may adversely affect Download, Upload, and Integration.
