This feature, or some fields and options described, might not be available depending on your settings, security rights, or platform package.

Workflow: Adding, Editing, and Deleting Notations

Use Notations in the Name and Address section of the Customer data entry form or the Basic Policy Information section of the Policy or Submission data entry form to "flag" customers, policies, or submissions. When assigned, all Notations appear in the Customer Center View.

You can also use Notations as criteria in a Target List in the Sales Center.

    ClosedAccessing Notation Setup

You can access Notation Setup from any center or form that has a Toolbox menu. Click Toolbox>System Administration>Notations.

You must have proper authorization to access Notation Setup.

    ClosedAdding a Notation

Notationscan be edited or deleted after they are added and before they are saved. If you have made an error on a notation and saved it, consider inactivating it. SeeEditing a Notationin this topic.

  1. Click New. TheNotationdata entry fields appear.

  2. Choose what type of Notation you are entering: Customer or Policy/Submission.

  3. In the Notation field, type the notation as you want it to appear in the list. You can enter a maximum of 15 characters.

  4. The Active checkbox defaults as checked. This causes the Notation to appear in the lists throughout AMS360.

  5. Click Add. TheNotationappears in the grid.

  6. Click Save or Save and Close.

    ClosedEditing a Notation

A Notation can be changed after it is added and before it is saved.

  1. Click Edit. The Notation data entry fields appear.

  2. Update the Notation.

  1. When you have finished editing Notations click SaveorSave and Close.

    ClosedDeleting a Notation

A Notation can be deleted after it is added and before it is saved. If it has been saved then you have the option of changing the status to Inactive (hiding it in the list). See Editing a Notation in this topic.

  1. From the list select the Notation you want to delete and click Delete. A message appears asking you to confirm that you want to delete the Notation. Click Yes. The Notation disappears from the list.

  2. When you have finished deleting Notations click SaveorSave and Close.
