Workflow: Using the Event Log and Event Viewer

TheEvent Log and Event Viewer are tools provided with Windows to record and display certain workstation events. Some events are informational, such as when a program started and stopped, while other events can indicate an important hardware or software condition that requires reporting and possible maintenance.

Every Windows workstation has Application, Security, and System event logs for recording Windows events. Installing AMS360 creates another log to record AMS360 events. The Event Viewer is used to view and manage the contents recorded by these event logs.
