MSB Interchange (Homeowner Pre-Fill)

The CoreLogic/Marshall Swift/Boeckh (MSB) Interchange pre-populates specific homeowner fields within the PL Rating homeowner questionnaire as well as integrated MSB RCT Estimator based on the property address. By pre-populating home characteristics, such as dwelling coverage, square footage, and more, MSB Interchange allows you to focus on consulting with your client instead of data collection and entry.

MSB Interchange is an add-on feature for PL Rating. If you are not currently subscribed to MSB Interchange, please contact your Account Manager or Vertafore Sales at 800.444.4813, option 1.

How to Use MSB Interchange

Once MSB Interchange has been added to your account, all new homeowners quotes will use MSB Interchange by default.

  1. On the Company Selection page, ensure that the Use MSB Interchange box is selected. If you clear this box, it will not be used for the current quote.

  2. On the General Information page, MSB Interchange automatically uses the client address you entered to retrieve dwelling data. In cases where the property address differs, select Check if different than client address and complete the additional fields. MSB Interchange uses this new address to populate data fields.

  3. On the Property Information page, enter additional fields as needed.

  4. On the Coverage Information page, MSB Interchange populates the Dwelling amount field with the ITV calculation from MSB automatically. In many cases, portions of the integrated MSB RCT Estimator are completed as well. Click the Estimator button to view and/or edit the estimate for the quote. Any changes made to the estimate will be reflected in the Dwelling amount field once you return to PL Rating.

 

Home Estimator

The Estimator allows you to enter characteristics about the home to determine the replacement cost. Estimator is an add-on feature for PL Rating. If you are not currently subscribed to the Estimator, please contact your Account Manager or Vertafore Sales at 800.444.4813, option 1.

How to use Home Estimator

Once Home Estimator has been added to your account, users with appropriate permission will be able to use the Home Estimator on home quotes if desired.

  1. On the Coverage Info page, Select the Estimator button.

  2. Select New to start a new estimate or select an existing estimate.

  3. Users can update estimate pages using the left bar menu.

  4. Once all updates are made select Calculate for updated totals.

  5. View Reports will give a selection of the reports that were used for the estimate.

  6. Return to Quote to continue the Home rating workflow in PL Rating.
