Selection Panel
The Selection Panel allows you to display in the Work Queue section preset or customized selections of request records.
As soon as a request arrives in Producer Express, it enters one of a variety of work queues. If your company is using Producer Express in traditional mode, the request will be routed to a Department Queue. If your company is using Producer Express in AutoPilot mode, and a request arrives in Producer Express with one or more problems, it is sent to the AutoPilot Exceptions Error Queue.
The numeral in parentheses after a given work queue name indicates the number of requests that are currently in that work queue.
Preset Selection Controls
You can choose one of the following preset selection controls to display the packets currently contained in a specific work queue.
Personal Work Queue
Click the My Requests link to display in the Work Queue section all requests that are currently assigned to you. Requests arrive in your work queue only when you move them there from a Department Queue or an Error Queue, or if a licensing supervisor has reassigned requests from another user’s queue to yours.
Department Queues
Department Queue includes links to display in the Work Queue section all unassigned requests that arrived successfully to Producer Express through one of your company's distributor channels. Click the name link of one of the channels to display the requests that are currently in the selected queue. Once a request is displaying in the Work Queue, you can move it to your Personal Work Queue to review or process it.
Error Queues
Error Queues includes links to display in the Work Queue section requests that have problems or exceptions. Click the name link of one of the Error Queues to display requests with the identified error type (e.g., AutoPilot Exception). Once a request is displaying in the Work Queue, you can move it to your Personal Work Queue to resolve the errors and continue processing.
Filter Options
You can use Filter Options to develop customized selections of request records to display in the Work Queue section. Filter Option controls work in conjunction with one another to allow you to create sophisticated views of request records.
Filter Options include the following controls:
- Clear All: Click to de-select all currently selected filters in any of the Filter Option controls. This control does not affect the display of requests in the Work Queue section.
- View: Click to run a customized selection of request records in the Work Queue section.
- By Current Owner: Select a user name from the dropdown menu, and then click the View button to display all request records that are currently in the control of the selected user and that also meet any other filter criteria you have selected. Making a null selection (blank in dropdown menu) will display requests in the control of all users.
- By Request Attributes: Select request records to display based on distributor channel and/or record status. In the Channel box, click to select one or more distributor channels to display all request records that originated through the selected channel(s) and that also meet any other filter criteria you have selected. In the Status box, click to select one or more record status(es) to display all request records that bear a selected status(es) and that also meet any other filter criteria you have selected. To select multiple criteria, press the CTRL key and click to select criteria. When you are finished, click the View button.
- By Queue Type: Select request records to display based on request queue belonging to a specific role, such as Recruiter, Producer, etc. Available only if configured through user security settings.
- By Request Date: To display all request records that were started during a particular date interval and that meet any other filter criteria you have selected, enter a date in both the Begin date and End date fields using the mmddyyyy date format. Or, click the Calendar button adjacent to each field to open a popup calendar allowing you to click to select a date. When you are finished, click the View button.
- By Producer Attributes: In the Name field, enter as few as two alphabetic characters to display all request records for producers whose first or last names begin with the characters and that meet any other filter criteria you have selected. You may enter the entire name if desired. Or in the ProducerID or AgentID field, enter as few as only one numeral to display all request records whose producer or agent codes contain the entered search string. (This prevents having to enter leading or trailing zeroes as search criteria when your producer codes contain them.) The system will not accept wildcard searches. When you are finished, click the View button.
- View: Click to run a customized selection of request records in the Work Queue section.
