Assign an Opportunity

There are two ways to assign an opportunity, from the Opportunity List page and from within the Opportunity itself.

Assign from the Opportunity list page

  1. On the top navigation bar click Sales and select Opportunities. A list of all opportunities appears.
  2. Select the opportunity you want to assign.
  3. On the command bar click Assign. The Assign opportunity message appears,
  4. Select Assign to me or select Assign to another user or team. In this instruction we will choose Assign to another user or team. The user lookup field is now enabled.
  5. Enter the user or team name and click Look Up.
  6. Select the user and click Assign.

Assign from within the Opportunity

  1. On the top navigation bar click Home.
  2. From the My Opportunity dashboard view double-click on the opportunity you want to assign. The opportunity appears.
  3. On the command bar click Assign. The Assign opportunity message appears,
  4. Select Assign to me or select Assign to another user or team. In this instruction we will choose Assign to another user or team. The user lookup field is now enabled.
  5. Enter the user or team name and click Look Up.
  6. Select the user and click Assign.
