Customer Overview
Applies to: Customer Center
The Customer Overview displays a convenient view of customer information that is frequently used when servicing the customer. You can also modify customer information from the Overview.
Key Fields
Only fields that have data for the selected customer are shown.
General |

Balance |
The customer's current accounts receivable balance. The balance is updated to reflect recent activity each time you access or refresh the page. |

Type of Customer |
Displays one of the following customer types: Customer, Prospect, or Suspect. |

Type of Business |
The type(s) of business this customer has with the agency (Personal, Commercial, Life, etc.) If the list is long, an ellipsis might be displayed. Point to the ellipsis with the mouse to view the entire list. |

Notation |
Displays brief additional information entered in Customer Setup (for example, V.I.P.). This information is used as an aid in servicing the customer. |

Address |
You can view the location on a map. More... |
Cell |
If you use Vertafore Messenger and see this icon to the right of the cell number:
You can click it to text the insured. |

Additional Details |

<multiple entity type> |
Displays Master/Multiple Entities or Sub/Multiple Entities. If the customer is a sub-entity, the name of the master entity is displayed as a link. |

<business units> |
The following business unit information is shown: Division, Branch, Department, and Group. |
Grids
The sections on the right side show related information in grid format. You can collapse a grid if you don't want to display the information. Grids are collapsed by default if no data is available.
Contacts |
Lists customer contacts set up in the Customer Setup data entry form. Click the Info icon to view details for each contact. If you see the icon, you can click it to send a text message to that contact. |
Account Service Groups |
Lists the primary and supplemental personnel who service the customer account. Click the Info icon to view contact information for the staff member. |
Cross References |
Lists related clients, entities owned by the same insured, and other references you can use when searching for a customer. |
Profiles |
Lists Profile questions and answers entered in Customer Setup. |
Expiration Dates |
Displays policy expiration dates you have entered in Customer Setup. The list does not include policies you currently right. |
By default, views and lists are limited to 100 items per page. In some Views you can choose to see more items, do any of the following, if available:

Would you like to...
Before you can modify customer information, you must first search for and select a customer in the Customer Center.
- With a customer record open, from the sidebar menu, select Views > Customer Overview.
- Click Edit Customer. This opens the Customer Setup form for the selected customer.
- Edit the fields in the form as necessary. More...
- Click Save or Save and Close.
Deleting a suspect permanently removes all information related to the customer from the database.
- From the sidebar menu, select Views > Customer Overview.
- Click Delete.
- A message asks you to confirm that you want to permanently delete the record. Click Yes.
