Company Plan Setup
Company Plan Setup allows you to define programs or plans offered by your insurance carriers. Once set up, these plans are available in the Plan Assignment section of Company Setup. After a plan is assigned to a company, it appears in the Company Plan list in the Line of Business section of the Policy data entry form when that company is selected.
Some companies include the plan in downloaded polices. If the plan hasn't been set up and assigned, the company plan field of the download transaction causes an error. You can import company specific codes, plans, and other information using the Company Code Import Utility.
AMS360 includes ACORD standard Company Plan codes for use in download and upload.
- Open the Administration Center.
- On the Customer/Policy menu, click Company Plan Setup.
The following fields are available.
Plan Description | Type a description to appear in the Plan list. |
Plan Code | Type a unique code to identify this Plan. |
Active | When selected, the plan is active and appears throughout AMS360 in Plan lists. |
AMS360 includes Permanent Company Plans (identified by an "X" in the permanent column) that cannot be deleted. However, you can change the status, which controls whether the company plans appear in Plan lists throughout AMS360. For more information see Company Plan: How to Add, Edit, and Delete.
AMS360 uses some of the permanent Company Plans in download and upload. Vertafore suggests that you use caution when inactivating permanent Company Plans.
