|
The Custom Data Exporter is an "add-on" custom feature it is accessible only if you have purchased the custom license. For more information, please contact Customer Support. |
The following information explains the installation, use, and features of the exporter.
When you purchase the Custom Data Exporter, the Data Center installs the software for you. Once installed, Custom Data Exporter appears in the Secured Item List found in Security Group Setup. The Feature name is "All Centers" and the Task name is "Menu - ToolBox: Launch Programs...Custom Data Exporter."
Initially, only users with Owner security rights can see the Custom Data Exporter on the Launch Programs menu. However, your agency administrator can set security rights for additional users.
From the 360 Toolbox, or the Toolbox menu on a data entry form (if available), click Toolbox > Launch Programs > Custom Data Exporter. The Custom Data Exporter form appears.
A data set is a pre-defined selection of fields and parameters. The Exporter includes eight standard permanent data sets. You can purchase additional customized data sets by contacting Customer Support. You can also create your own data sets.
New Data Sets
Rather than having to repeatedly set up the same fields and parameter selections, you can save common selections as a new data set. When they are no longer useful, you can delete them.
Only the data sets you add can be deleted. The data sets you create can only be modified and saved once. After saving it the first time, you cannot modify it again. You will have to create a new data set.
Custom Data Sets
Custom data sets can be designed to meet your agency's specific needs. The Custom Programming Group reviews your data set inquiry, and before any work begins, you will receive a written estimate.

Tips for using Select Fields... - Set the parameters of your data to narrow your selection, so you see only the data you need to see. Parameter options vary depending on the data set you are using.
Parameter Options by Data Set... - Expand the Export Data section to set the destination and file type for your data.
Export Data Selections... - Click Export Data to export the data to the application of your choice.
You can only delete data sets that are user defined. The permanent data sets that come with AMS360 cannot be deleted. Also, if you create a new data set and designate it as User Only, only you can delete it.
If you designate your Data Set as Agency, anyone with security rights to Custom Data Exporter can delete it. To delete the Data Set:
-
Select the Data Set in the grid. Click anywhere but the Name link. (Clicking the Name link opens it for modification.)
-
