User Security and Logging In
User security in AMS360 allows you to determine which employees have access to the activities, processes, and reports in the system.
User security setup involves several steps:
Steps | What should I do? |
---|---|
Administrator Password |
Enter a password for the Administrator in Employee Setup. This password prevents unauthorized individuals from entering, printing, or viewing restricted setup information. |
Additional Security Groups |
The system comes with 5 default security groups but up to 95 additional groups can be added for a system maximum of 100 groups. Since the permanent groups cannot be edited or deleted, if changes or additions are desired setup additional security groups. See the Creating Security Groups section of Security Groups Setup for instructions. |
Setup Employees |
Enter your employees in Employee Setup. You may have as many employees as you want entered in setup but the number who may log in to AMS360 is dependent on the number of licenses purchased. Those employees requiring system access must have the following as part of their account in Employee Setup. Security Group Assignment User ID |
Like most software applications, AMS360 is secured and only individuals having a valid User ID and Password are given access to the system. The user ID and password are assigned as part of Employee Setup. Login IDs can be upper or lower case and can include letters or numbers. Passwords are subject to certain design rules. See Change Password for more information.
When you open AMS360 you will see a Login page requiring an Agency No., User ID and Password to access the application. Your agency administrator will provide this information to you.
Once logged in, you do not have to log in again unless you receive a Session Timeout or you exit the system.
If you forget your user ID and password, do not attempt to guess at the correct information by repeated login attempts. As a means of discouraging unauthorized user intervention, there is a limit of 5 failed login attempts. If you exceed this limit, you will not be able to log in for a 20 minute period.
To request a lockout override or assistance with login problems, contact your agency administrator.
