Configure Program Codes for VPI
In this topic, we continue the discussion of setting up VPI integration that began in Vertafore Policy Issuance Integration (VPI) Setup.
Program codes are used by specific carriers to determine the coverages and endorsements available for attachment to the policy. In AIM, those codes are defined in the Company table, and then assigned to individual products.
In the steps that follow, we will show you how to configure program codes. You can modify our steps to setup program codes for the companies and products associated with your agency.
- On the speed bar, click Company.
- Select the company.
- In Add – Edit Company Records, click Edit.
- Click the Program Codes tab.
- In the grid, click in the Code box and type the name of the program code.
The program code must exactly match the program code that the carrier entered on the VPI website. If they are not an exact match, the endorsement forms will not be filtered properly in AIM. - In the Description box, type a description of the program code.
- Press Tab to add additional codes, if applicable.
- Click OK to save your changes.
- Click the Products button, located on the tool bar.
- On the Coverage Classes tab, select the coverage, and then select the product in the Products pane.
- Click Edit.
- In Program Code box, located on the Program Codes tab, click to select an applicable program code from the list.
The list is comprised of the program codes entered in Company table. It is possible that more than one Program Code can apply to a Product in AIM. - Press Tab to enter a new line. To remove a line, select the line and press Ctrl+Delete.
- Click OK to save your changes.
- If only one Program Code applies, you can entered it directly into the ACORD Program Code field on the Detail tab.
