Update Producer Name
Use the Update Producer Name service to change the name on record with a state of an individual licensee. The update transaction will be submitted electronically to a selected state department of insurance and update state records.
Getting Started
- In the AgencyEDGE navigation bar, click the Transactions link. The Transaction List will open in the Home page.
- In the State Service Request group, click the Update Producer Name link. The Update Producer Name page will open.
Change a Name on Record With a State
The name change service is available to individual licensees only.
- Required. In the Producer Type field, click to select the Individual radio button.
- Required. In the Request Type field, click to select the Name Change radio button.
- Required. In the Request State field, click to select the radio button that corresponds to the state with which you want to record a name change.
- In the Last Name field, enter the last name of the individual licensee whose name you want to change on record with the state.
- In the SSN field, enter the Social Security Number of the individual licensee whose name you want to change on record with the state.
- Click the Continue button. The page will update to show the full name information currently on record for the selected individual licensee with the selected state.
- Required. In the First Name field, enter a new first name.
- In the Middle Name field, enter a new first name.
- Required. In the Last Name field, enter a new first name.
- In the Suffix field, enter a new name suffix.
- If desired, from the Cost Center dropdown menu, select a cost center to which to assign the fees for the name change transaction.
- Click the Save and Continue button. The name change information will be transmitted to the state and update state records. The Fee Summary page will open.
- On the Fee Summary page, review the details of the transaction, including applicable state, processing, and handling fees.
- If you need to change any data you have entered, click the Back button. Otherwise, if you are ready to proceed with the transaction, click the Continue button.
- When you are ready to submit your transaction together with your payment information, click the Submit button. The name change information will be transmitted to the state and update state records. The Confirmation page will display, confirming the transaction.
- Review the information on the Confirmation page.
- Click the Process Another button to repeat the procedure. Or, click the Transactions link in the navigation bar or breadcrumbs to open the Transaction List page.
Update Producer Address
Use the Update Producer Address service to maintain addresses and telephone numbers for a firm producer in certain states. The update transaction will be submitted electronically to a selected state department of insurance and update state records.
Getting Started
- In the AgencyEDGE navigation bar, click the Transactions link. The Transaction List will open in the Home page.
- In the State Service Request group, click the Update Producer Address - Firm link. The Update Producer Address page will open.
Update an Individual's Address Information
You can update an individual licensee's address information with only certain states using this service. To update in any or all states in which an individual is licensed, use the Address Change Request service.
- Required. In the Producer Type field, click to select the Individual radio button.
- Required. In the Request Type field, click to select the Address Change radio button.
- Required. In the Request State field, click to select the radio button that corresponds to the state to which you want to submit a change in contact information.
- In the Last Name field, enter the last name of the individual licensee for whom you want to submit a change in contact information in the selected state.
- In the SSN field, enter the Social Security Number of the individual licensee for whom you want to submit a change in contact information in the selected state.
- Click the Continue button. The page will refresh to show the contact information currently on record for the selected individual licensee with the selected state.
- In the Business Location section, click the Edit link, and then enter updated information in all fields related to the selected address type.
- In the Mailing Location section, click the Edit link, and then enter updated information in all fields related to the selected address type.
- In the Residence Location section, click the Edit link, and then enter updated information in all fields related to the selected address type.
- In the Business Phone section, click the Edit link, and then enter updated information in all fields related to the selected telephone type.
- In the Fax Phone section, click the Edit link, and then enter updated information in all fields related to the selected telephone type.
- In the Residence Phone section, click the Edit link, and then enter updated information in all fields related to the selected telephone type.
- In the Email Address section, click the Edit link, and then enter an updated email address.
- If desired, from the Cost Center dropdown menu, select a cost center to which to assign fees for the contact information update transaction.
- Click the Save and Continue button. The updated contact information will be transmitted to the state and update state records.
- Review the information on the Confirmation page, which displays the sections of contact information that were updated in the transaction.
- Click the Process Another button to open the Demographic Changes page to repeat the procedure. Or, click the Main Menu button to open the Service Request Menu.

Update an Agency's Contact Information
- Required. In the Producer Type field, click to select the Agency radio button.
- Required. In the Request Type field, click to select the Address Change radio button.
- Required. In the Request State field, click to select the radio button that corresponds to the state to which you want to submit a change in contact information.
- In the Name field, enter the business name of the agency for which you want to submit a change in contact information in the selected state.
- In the EIN field, enter the federal Employer Identification Number of the agency for which you want to submit a change in contact information in the selected state.
- In the License Number field, enter the license number of the agency's license in the state to which you want to submit a change in contact information.
- Click the Continue button. The page will update to show the contact information currently on record for the selected agency with the selected state.
- In the Business Contact Information section, click the Edit link, and then enter updated information in all fields related to the contact information type, including address, telephone, and fax number.
- In the Mailing Contact Information section, click the Edit link, and then enter updated information in all fields related to the contact information type, including address, telephone, and fax number.
- In the Email Address section, click the Edit link, and then enter an updated email address.
- If desired, from the Cost Center dropdown menu, select a cost center to which to assign fees for the contact information update transaction.
- Click the Save and Continue button. The updated contact information will be transmitted to the state and update state records.

Update Producer Email Address
Use the Update Producer Email Address service to maintain email addresses for an individual or firm producer. The update transaction will be submitted electronically to a selected state department of insurance and update state records.
Getting Started
- In the AgencyEDGE navigation bar, click the Transactions link. The Transaction List will open in the Home page.
- In the State Service Request group, click the Update Producer Email Address link. The Update Producer Email Address page will open.
Update a Producer's Email Address
- To update the email address of an individual producer, click the Individual link
OR
To update the email address of a firm producer (agency), click the Firm link.
- From the State dropdown menu, select the name of the state with which you wish to file updated email address information for the selected producer.
- If you are updating an individual producer's email address, in the Name field enter the individual producer's last name, and then proceed to step 4
OR
If you are updating a firm producer's email address, in the Name field enter the firm's business name, and then proceed to step 5.
- In the SSN field, enter the individual producer's full Social Security Number (hyphens optional), and then proceed to step 7.
- In the EIN field, enter the firm producer's full federal Employer Identification Number (hyphen optional).
- In the License Number field, enter the firm producer's insurance license number of the license issued by the selected state.
- Click the Continue button. The page will refresh to display the Producer Name, State, and Current Email Address on file with the selected state.
- Enter an updated email address in the New Email Address field.
- Click the Continue button. The page will update to display transaction processing fee information.
- When you are ready, click Continue button. The updated email address information will be transmitted to the state and update state records. The Confirmation page will display, confirming the transaction.
- Click the Process Another button to repeat the procedure. Or, click the Transactions link in the navigation bar or breadcrumbs to open the Transactions List page.

If you are unable to file a name or contact information change in a state, contact the state insurance office. |
If your resident state has changed, you must file address change information directly with the state insurance office. |
When using the name change service, you must enter a value in both the First Name and Last Name fields, even if only one name is changing. |
If you need only to change an email address with a state, use the free Update Email Address service. |
On the Confirmation page, note if the Related Request field displays Duplicate License. If you change your name with a state, and the state offers the online service, you can print a copy of your license that reflects your new name. Use the Print a License service to obtain a copy of your updated license from the state. |
