In this topic, we discuss adding information about additional interests for various Units At Risk.
You can view or associate available additional interests with an insured, policy, or a unit at risk. Additional interests associated with a policy or unit at risk, apply only to the policy or unit. Additional interests added to an insured apply to all policies for the insured.
You can add additional interests using the Additional Interests tab. To add an additional interest and make it available for selection here, you must first add the additional interest from Policy Data on the Addl Interests tab.
Once you have made additional interests available, you can associate additional interests. In the steps that follow, we show you how to associate additional interests for the selected property. In our example, we are add an additional interest to a commercial property unit at risk; however, you can use the same steps when adding additional interests for a different type of unit at risk.
- Click the Additional Interests button.
- Click the Available Interests tab.
- In the grid, select an available interest.
- Click Add To Policy.
- The Assigned Interests tab is selected automatically after adding an available interest to the policy. Manage assigned interests using the buttons defined in the table below.

- Verify that the additional interest appears on the Additional Interests tab for the unit at risk.
