AMS360 Merge Mapping Tool Enhancements

Note: This update is part of the AMS360 21R1 release. Navigate to the AMS360 2021 R1 Release Notes to review other enhancements and fixes that were part of the release.

Mapping Saved Tables to Allow Alternating Agency Mapping

Merge mapping tables are automatically saved, allowing a source agency to pause their conversions while another source agency uses the mapping tool. Later, the initial source agency can complete their mapping and conversion.

Multiple Users Can Edit Simultaneously by Groups

Multiple users can now edit simultaneously if they are in different groups, allowing parallel mapping. Only one user can edit in a group at a time. In the AMS360 Custom Mapping Utility winform, you will see on the left side of the window that various categories are now broken into their respective groups. In the example image below, one user can edit Insurance Companies while another user edits Activity/Suspense, as they are in different groups.

Categories broken up into groups

Note: If a user clicks on a category in a group that another user is already editing, a pop-up message will appear stating “Username has this group locked.” To close this pop-up, click OK.

Changes to Saving Data

Since a user can only be in one group at a time, while others may be in other groups simultaneously, saving data will work as follows:

  • Close Category will have no functional changes. It will save the data of the category you are in and exit you from the category and group.

  • Save Mapped Data will save the changes in the group you are editing.

  • Upon clicking the Exit button or navigating to a new category, if you have unsaved changes, you will see a confirmation message pop-up message.

    • Click Save to save the data

    • Click Exit to exit without saving

    • Click Cancel to return to the form

Reloading Mapping (Only Applies to Professional Services)

A new script is run by professional services that takes old selections from the HIST tables and copies them into the regular MrgMap tables if everything else is a match.
