Customer Certificate Holder Setup

Use Customer Certificate Holder Setup to add, edit, or delete a holder for a specific customer. These holders become available when you copy holder detail to certificates for this customer only.

Using this method, you can assign a holder to a group and then export the entire group out of AMS360 into a csv file for your customer's review. After reviewing and updating the list, you can then import the holders back into AMS360.

When viewing the customer for whom you want to add, edit, or delete a certificate holder, on the menu click Actions > Certificate Holder > Setup. The Customer Certificate Holder setup data entry form appears.

The following information appears in the Customer Certificate Holder List. In addition, the actions you can take while in the data entry form are listed at the end of this table.

Field

What is this?

Group Name

The group to which this holder has been assigned. You can group holders by type, certificate to which they apply, or any other method you like. AMS recommends using groupings that will help you create lists of holders for your customer to review as well as help you locate a particular holder.

Name

The individual holder's name as you want it to appear on a certificate.

Address

The address where the certificate is to be mailed.

City

State

Zip

Description of Operations/ Special Conditions

The default information entered for the certificate holder.

Preview where listed

Click the icon to launch a report listing policies to which this holder is attached.

# of Days

The Written Notice # of Days for Cancellation

Method of Delivery

The manner in which the certificate was delivered. The options are:

  • Email

  • Fax

  • Print/Mail

New

Choose this option to create a new holder for this customer and assign it to a group.

Edit

Select the holder from the grid and click Editto update the information listed.

Delete

Select the holder from the grid and click Delete to remove the holder from this customer's list. Once complete, the holder cannot be retrieved, but can be re-entered.

When adding a new or editing an existing holder you can select a predefined text message from the list to use on the certificate.

If you would rather enter your own text, type it in the Text View area.

Insert

To add the selected Text to the end of the existing description, click Insert.

Replace

To clear the current text and replace it with the selected Text, click Replace.

Type or select the Description of Operations text that you want to appear on the certificates for this holder. The description you enter here appears when you add this holder to a certificate.

If you have security authorization you can click this link to launch the Text Setup entry form.

Group Name

To add the holder to an existing group, select it from the list.

Setup

To create a new group, click the Setup link. You can export and import groups of certificate holders for this customer. You can also copy groups of holders to a certificate when copying holder detail in eForms Manager.

AMS recommends that you create group names that make the holder easy to find and export for your customer to review and edit.

Job Type

Enter the type of job if known.

Job Number

If this certificate holder has a job number, you can enter it here.

Project End Date

If know, choose the date the project will end for the holder.

Licensed

Check here if the holder is licensed.

Bonded

Check here if the holder is bonded.

Enter the number of days notice which must be given to the Certificate Holder should the policy cancel.
