Group Setup

The activity grouping feature allows you to associate related activities together so that all actions within a specific event (renewal, claim, audit, etc) can be retrieved and viewed easily. The grouping feature is optional and can be done when entering a new activity or when viewing existing activities. Grouping new activities is not available for activities that are silently logged by the system. You can group these activities when using the View Activity form.

Before implementing Activity Grouping in your agency, consider the following:

Use Group Setup to create new Group Names for referencing your activities. This is a secured feature , therefore, only users who have authorization are allowed to setup new groups. See your System Administrator for authorization. .

    ClosedAccessing Group Setup

You can access Group Setup from any location that has a menu or tool bar. Do one of the following:

Below is an explanation of the fields in the Group Setup grid.

Reference Groups Fields

What is this?

Active

Check this box to activate the group name. Uncheck the box if the group name is no longer used and should no longer be available for selection in the group name drop down.

Group Name

Enter the Group Name for referencing activities.  Each name must be unique.

Group Type

Select a Group Type from the drop down list. To add a new Group Name, go to List Setup.

Changed Date

The date pre-fills for you when a new Group Name is added or changed.

Changed Name

The name pre-fills for you with the name of the person who added or changed the Group Name.

Related Activity

This field shows the number of activities associated to the Group.

Clicking on the Activity Count link opens the View Activity List of the activities associated with the group. From the list you can select an activity to change the group assignment  or preview the details of the activity.
