Configure Sagitta to Use VSSO TransactNOW

Software Prerequisites

Sagitta 19R2 or higher is required to use the VSSO versions of TransactNOW and/or PL Rating.

o

VSSO Configuration

A VSSO Agency Administrator user is required to continue with this personalization. If you do not have a VSSO environment or VSSO Admin log-in, contact Vertafore Customer Support.

Create VSSO log-ins for each Agency user who will be using TransactNOW and/or PL Rating. This can be done individually for each user or with a batch excel spreadsheet import option within VSSO. Make sure each user sets themselves up with a password and answers to security questions.

Add the Credential Manager product to each user. See the Add and configure Credential Manager users Help file for detailed steps to do so.

Each user should also complete the Carrier credential migration, or they will have to manually enter their carrier credentials into the VSSO Credential Manager.

Do Not Create New User Accounts in the VSSO Console for Existing Users

The correct practice is to activate existing user accounts in PL Rating and other Vertafore products that support VSSO activation. This practice saves you time and helps to avoid the creation of duplicate accounts that have no connection to the user’s existing accounts.

Determine How Many Users You Want to Activate at One Time

If you have a large number of users, you can manage disruptions by activating small groups of users for VSSO at a time. Another way to manage disruption is to let users become comfortable with using VSSO with one product before you activate another product.

Consider establishing a timeline for the rollout of VSSO. You can choose your own pace for moving each user.

Additional Steps for PL Rating Users

To link PL Rating and TransactNOW so your users can continue to maintain a single carrier credential database to be used by both products, the PL Rating product needs to be added to your VSSO agency. Contact Vertafore Support to assist in this process.

Credential Migration

Network TransactNOW users:
- Use the Admin Upload to pre-populate the credential files.
- End users also need to follow the steps below for 'Standalone TransactNOW Users'.
Standalone TransactNOW users:
- If not using PL Rating, use this link to migrate users.
- If using PL Rating, use PLR Migration to migrate users.

Prepare Users for VSSO Activation; Once Activated, They will Use the VSSO Versions of TransactNOW and/or PL Rating, and will Maintain Their Carrier Credentials in VSSO’s Credential Manager

After you complete the administrative steps, your users will need to complete steps to finish activating their VSSO user accounts. They need to set a password and provide answers to security questions.

It is important that users understand one key choice: if they see the "Sign In or Create Account" page, and they have already completed the "Create Account" process, they should always choose the "Sign In" option when they see this page regardless of the product they are signing into. Otherwise, they might create duplicate accounts in VSSO.

It is important to emphasize this key choice with your users. You may even want to schedule a kick-off meeting to announce VSSO and make sure your users know when VSSO is coming and what to expect. In addition, we have designed this guide so that you can quickly copy and paste the user activation steps into an email or other document and share it with your users.

Sagitta Configuration

Sagitta export products TRANSACTNOW and TRANSACTNOWI must be configured to use the VSSO version of the TNOW integration. Refer to the Sagitta 20R1 Release Notes for details.

Confirm that All Carrier Credentials Used by TransactNOW and PL Rating are Up to Date

Verify that carrier credentials for each user are active and passwords are current. You might want to ask your users to do this on their own and report back if any problems are encountered.

Your carrier credentials for TransactNOW and PL Rating will be migrated into the new cloud-based, VSSO-enabled Credential Manager, so it is important to make sure that all your credentials are up to date prior to migration.
