Defaults Pg. 1

In this topic, we continue our discussion of configuring the States table, located on the Tables Menu.

On the Defaults Pg. 1 tab, located in the State Defaults dialog box (see Detail), you can continue entering the default settings for the state that you started on the General Defaults tab.

  1. Click the Defaults - Pg. 1 tab.
  2. Enter information in the Renewal Manager Defaults pane.
    1. Policy Fee – policy fee for the state (a percentage of the premium unless Flat amount is selected)
    2. Rounding – rounding method for the policy fee
    3. Max – maximum policy fee that can be charged
  3. Enter information in the General pane.
    1. Require Retail Agent/License Number for Binding – require the entry of the retail agent's/broker's license number in the AIM Issue Binder dialog box
    2. Require Admitted Markets for Binding – require the entry of the admitted carriers that the risk was submitted to at time of binding
    3. Subject to Municipal Tax – select if policies are subject to municipal taxes. With the option selected, you can configure municipal taxes in the DMU Tax Table.
    4. Tax Message – message to appear in the tax calculator when the state is selected
    5. URL – Web site address  for the state's tax entity
    6. MGA License for This State – state license number for the tax entity
