Print Options Bar
The Print Options bar is the gray row that appears just below the page or report name on many Sagitta pages.
Use the options on this bar to:

view or print a report, schedule, or lists, in Adobe Acrobat PDF (Portable Document Format) (Adobe);

view reports on your screen after processing (Screen);

run the report after your nightly File Save is complete (Overnight);
-
include the report to be run with a group of reports (Batch)
-
send the report information in XML (Extensible Markup Language) format to another application, such as Microsoft Excel, for further manipulation (Export); and
-
deliver the reports to the workstations of your agency staff members. Reports are displayed under the Processed Reports heading on the Home Page of each staff member. (Report Distribution)
The options on this bar vary, depending on the function with which you are working. If you notice differences that require explanation, please see the topic for the specific task you are trying to perform.
Adobe® Option
Click Adobe to review and to print reports and schedules in Adobe PDF (Portable Document Format) using the Adobe Acrobat Reader. From Acrobat, you can save and print or email reports, and schedules. You can also view Accounting Reports that have multiple report versions, such as the Preliminary Invoice Register and the Operating Statement.
Select Adobe to display and review reports with Update functionality before you update your system. You can update a report if you view it using Acrobat; you cannot update it if you view it using the Screen option.
Screen Option
Click Screen to view reports in Sagitta on your workstation after processing. You can view Accounting Reports that have multiple report versions, such as the Preliminary Invoice Register and the Operating Statement.
When you select the Screen option, the Report View Page appears. After viewing the report, you can click the printer icon on the tool bar to print the report using Windows Print. Using Windows print, you can select the number of copies of the report that you want to print, and the printer to which you want to print it.
To accommodate large print jobs, make sure the printer has a large supply of paper in it.

You cannot update reports or print forms using Screen. Use Adobe if you want to update reports or print forms.
Overnight Option
Use Overnight to add the report to the Overnight Report Processing queue. Overnight Report Processing occurs immediately after your nightly File Save. (For the report to be included in that night's processing, you must add the report to the queue before the File Save begins.) The availability of Overnight depends on whether or not Sagitta supports Overnight Report Processing for the specific report.
To accommodate large print jobs, make sure the printer has a large supply of paper loaded in it.
Batch Option
Use Batch to add reports to the list of reports on the Batch Process page. The availability of Batch depends on whether or not Sagitta supports batch processing for the specific report.
Export Option
Click Export to send the report information in XML (Extensible Markup Language) format to another application, such as Microsoft Excel. When you click this option, a drop-down menu displays the Immediate option, which you click to send the information right away. Depending on the report, the drop-down menu might also include Overnight and Batch options.
Report Distribution Option
Use the Report Distribution option on the Print Options bar to set up a list of users on your Sagitta system to whom you want to send reports.
Report Distribution appears if Display Report Distribution List? is set to Yes on the System Personalization Page. Yes is the default setting for this option. If the option is set to Yes, the Report Distribution option appears on all reports or a subset of all reports that have a distribution list, depending on additional selections made on the System Personalization page.
If Display Report Distribution List? is set to No, Report Distribution does not appear.

You can distribute the report to members of an existing group or create a new group on the Distribution Groups page. For more information, see Add/Change Staff Distribution Group Maintenance Page. (Other > Personalization > System > System Flags).
To send the report to one or more members of your agency’s staff, click the Expand button beside Report Distribution. The Report Distribution List opens.
From this list, you can select the group that should receive copies of the report.
Click the Search (magnifying glass) icon to display the Distribution Lookup dialog box, which includes all Staff Distribution Groups created by your agency. Once you have selected the group:

the number of group members is displayed in parentheses beside Report Distribution; and
-
the names of the group members are displayed in the Group Members list.
The Report is sent only to those staff members whose names appear on the Distribution List, and is listed under the Processed Reports heading on the Sagitta Home Page of each staff member on the list.
When you select a Print option (e.g., Adobe, Overnight, Batch, or Export) for a report that includes a distribution list, each member of the distribution list receives an on-screen pop-up message stating that a report has been sent to the recipient’s Processed Reports.
An icon appears on the Navigation bar for each user who was included on the distribution list. The user can then access his Sagitta Home Page to run the report(s). |

If you select Adobe when using the Report Distribution option, the report displays in PDF format on your system in addition to being sent to other users.

If you select Screen, the Report Distribution list is overlooked, and no users on the list receive reports. Instead, the report is displayed on your screen.
