Evidence of Property Selection Grid
The Evidence of Property Selection grid is the starting point for all Evidence of Property activity, including starting the EPI Wizard.
From this page, you can create an EPI (Evidence of Property) Template, to which you can attach other EPIs and Additional Interests.
You can create Evidence of Property (EPI) forms at both the Client and Policy level by selecting one of the following options:
- ACORD 27 Evidence of Property or
- ACORD 28 Cmml (Commercial) Evidence of Property
from the Forms menu at either level.
When you select either option from the Client or Policy Level, the Evidence of Property Selection (or for Commercial policies, the Comml Evidence of Property) grid appears. When you click Add to launch the EPI Wizard and create a new EPI Template, the Evidence of Property Insurance Policies -- Policy Tab appears.
When you create an EPI form from the Client level, you can select more than one policy.

When you create an EPI from the Policy level, the policy is pre-selected for you on the Policies tab. |
From the Evidence of Property Selection page, which lists Templates and existing MS and MP EPI forms, you can:
- View EPI forms;
- Display EPIs associated with the EPI record selected;
- Print a schedule of EPIs;
- Access the EPI Wizard to add EPIs;
- Attach AOIs to the selected templates;
- Update, revise, reissue, or reprint the selected record;and
- Delete EPIs.
Access the Evidence of Property Selection Grid
- Look up and load the client associated with the EPIs.
- On the Client Primary Navigation, click FORMS >ACORD 27 Evidence of Property or ACORD 28 Commercial Evidence of Property. The Evidence of Property Selection Grid appears.
Evidence of Property Selection page has two grids
The Evidence of Property Selection page has an upper grid and a lower grid. The upper grid remains static, while the lower grid displays EPIs based on the type of EPI selected in the upper grid.
Evidence of Property Selection grid (Upper grid)
The columns in the Evidence of Property Selection grid display information as follows:
Column |
Displays |
Type |
MS, MP and "individual" (blank) EPI forms. |
Policy Description |
A description of the first policy you selected when you created at the Client level. |
Template Description |
The Template description from the mandatory "Template Description" field you complete on the Evidence of Property Insurance Policies -- Policy Tab as part of the EPI Wizard when you create a new EPI. For older EPIs, this column may display the text, '---Master EPI---.' |
The ACORD Evidence of Property Selection grid displays the EPIs associated with the client currently selected. Those may include EPI Templates, older Master (MS) EPIs, older Master Print (MP) EPIs, and 'blank' EPI forms. Think of this grid as the "main" grid.
A suffix at the end of the Template Description on the grid indicates whether a Template was created using the Reissue, Revise, or Update process. If the Template Description field is already full, then the last four characters of the description are replaced by the appropriate suffix.
If a Template Description is short, and the template is revised more than once, the notation is appended for each revision. For example, a template revised twice might have the description "Template - REV - REV".
If a Template Description that is at maximum length, has been truncated, and has a code appended to it, is reissue, revised, or updated, the suffix for the latest transaction overlays the existing suffix.
If you use Revise in the lower grid to create a new EPI, there is no suffix, as there is no Description field.
Suffixes are as follows:
- REI (for Reissue)
- REV (for Revise)
- UPD (for Update)
If a Template Description with a suffix completely fills the field, and the template is reissued, revised, or updated again, a new suffix overwrites the old. For example, if a template is reissued, it has the suffix REI. If the same template is revised, and the description is maxed out, REV overlays the original suffix, REI.
Each grid has options on menu bars directly above the grid. Use these options to perform specific actions on the grid selected.
EPIs Attached to Selected EPITemplate Grid (Lower grid)
The EPIs Attached to Selected EPI Template grid displays EPIs based on the type of EPI selected in the upper grid. It is similar to the upper grid in the information it displays.
