Adding a New Policy
Add new business by completing and saving information to create a policy record. Once saved, your policy will display in lists in the system. This topic describes how to add new business. If you want to add an existing policy from another system, see the Taking On a Policy topic.
Prerequisite
A client must exist in the system before you can add a policy. Policies are added to client records in Sagitta.
Client information from client records will help to populate the policy pages. The more client information you enter, the less policy information you will have to enter. The same is true for information added to policy records—details translate over to applications, forms and letters as you work your way through the system.
To add a new policy
- Access a client record by searching or adding a new client to the system.
- Click the Policies tab to display the Policies page.
- Click the Add link in the toolbar to display the Transaction page.
- Enter the effective date for the policy (either type or use the calendar icon to select a date).
- In the Followup Days entry box, enter the number of days to wait after the effective date.
- Click Next
to display the Policy Details page. Complete as much of the information
as possible. Yellow background-colored fields indicate required fields.
