View License Apps Pending Review

Use the View License Apps Pending Review service to review pending license applications submitted for review by individual producers or agencies. You may choose to accept and submit or deny a license application without reviewing it, or you may choose to review a license application first and then accept it and submit it to a state for processing.

The process involves the following steps:

Getting Started

  1. In the AgencyEDGE navigation bar, click the Transactions link. The Transaction List will open in the Home page.
  2. In the State Licensing Services group, click the View License Apps in Pending Review link for Individual or Firm. The Search For Pending Review License Applications section of the Review/Update Submitted License Applications page will open.

Search for Pending License Applications

Find one or multiple license applications that individual producersagencies have sent for your review by entering basic search criteria.

  1. In the Search For Pending Review License Applications section, enter a search criterion in at least one of the search fields to search for license applications that are pending review, such as a date range in the Submit Date From and To fields or a staff member's name from the Subscriber Rep/User ID dropdown menu. You can narrow your search by entering additional search criteria in other search fields.
  2. Click the Submit button. The License Applications - Review Submitted Applications section will open.

Act on a Pending License Application

The License Applications - Review Submitted Applications section displays all pending license applications that met your search criteria.

Choose one of the following actions:

Review a Pending License Application

  1. From the list of pending license applications, identify the license application that you want to review.
  2. Click the value of its Confirmation ID field. The license application will open in the License Applications - Review Application Details section.
  3. Scroll vertically through the license application and review its information, updating the information if necessary.
  4. When you are satisfied with information on the license application, click the Submit button to submit the license application to the state. The Review/Update Submitted License Application - Summary section will open.
  5. Click the Return to Display List Page button to reopen the list of pending license applications. The newly submitted license application is no longer included in the list.

Accept and Submit a Pending License Application Without Review

From the list of pending license applications, identify the license application that you want to accept and submit. Use the following steps:

  1. Click to select the Accept and Submit to State radio button corresponding to the license application you want to submit without review.
  2. Click the Submit button corresponding to the license application you want to submit to the state without review. The Review/Update Submitted License Application - Confirmation section will open.
  3. From the Cost Center Name dropdown menu, select a cost center to which to assign the fees associated with the license application.
  4. Click the Confirm button. The Review/Update Submitted License Application - Summary section will open.
  5. If the license application is intended for a state that does not process electronic license applications, click the PDF for Confirmation ID link to open the license application as a paper form, which you can print and then send to the state via postal mail with the appropriate fees

OR

If the license application is intended for a state that processes electronic license applications, you may click the PDF for Confirmation ID link to review the license application and save it to your local system or print a copy for your records.

  1. Review the transaction confirmation.

Deny a Pending License Application

You may deny a license application without reviewing it first, or you may deny a license application that you already have reviewed but not submitted to the state for processing.

  1. From the list of pending license applications, identify the license application that you want to deny.
  2. Click to select the Deny radio button radio button corresponding to the license application you want to deny.
  3. Click the Submit button corresponding to the license application you want to deny. The Review/Update Submitted License Application - Confirmation section will open.
  4. From the Cost Center Name dropdown menu, select a cost center to which to assign the fees associated with the license application.
  5. Click the Confirm button. The Review/Update Submitted License Application - Summary section will open.
  6. Review the transaction confirmation.

Delay Action on a Pending License Application

You need not act on a pending license application.

  1. From the list of pending license applications, identify the license application on which you want to delay action.
  2. Click to select the None radio button radio button corresponding to the license application on which you want to delay action. The license application will remain in pending status until you act to review, accept and submit, or deny it.

In AgencyEDGE, the Review/Update Submitted License Application page is available only through Vertafore configuration. Please contact your Vertafore representative at 1-877-876-4430.

For the Review/Update Submitted License Application service to work, a representative of the submitting individual produceragency or agentfirm first must be set up with a special user account in AgencyEDGE. For more information, see Maintain Producer Access/Passwords.

If no license applications met your search criteria, the following message will display: "There are currently no submitted applications to review that match your search criteria." You may click the Back button to enter new search criteria, or click the Cancel button to stop the service.

When using the Submit Date From and To fields, enter the date as mmddyyyy. The dates entered must be within a range of 60 days.

If you are not prompted to select a cost center to which to assign the license application fees, the system will assign the fees to the cost center set as the default in your user account.

If you have configured the system to route license applications submitted by an outside agentagency to a specific user (subscriber representative), you can select a specific staff member's name from the Subscriber Rep/User ID dropdown menu in the Search For Pending Review License Applications section.
