Get Vehicles

Use this feature to copy vehicle information from the customer's records to the line of business data entry form.

The Get Vehicles form is accessible from the following Lines of Business:

  • Business Auto: From the Vehicle Information section of the Business Auto data entry form, click Get Vehicles to open the form.  
  • Garage and Dealers: From the Vehicle Information section of the Garage and Dealers data entry form, click Get Vehicles to open the form.
  • Inland Marine (C): From the Transportation/Motor Truck Cargo > Vehicle Information section of the Commercial Inland Marine data entry form, click Get Vehicles to open the form.
  • Truckers: From the Vehicle Information section of the Truckers data entry form, click Get Vehicles to open the form.

The Vehicles list displays all policies in AMS360 for that customer. Edit the grid, and click OK to save selections and return to the LOB data entry form. The vehicle data from the selected grid rows now appears on the form, in the Vehicle Information section.

Customer

Fills with the Customer name on the policy from which you are working.

Search

Opens the Customer Search dialog box.

Policy

From the list, select the policy from which to copy vehicle information.

(Grid Commands)

(Refresh Information): After selecting a policy, click this button to display all vehicles on the policy.

Include Coverages: Selected by default. Includes the coverage information for the selected vehicles.

Select All: Click to select all vehicles in the grid.

Clear All: Click to clear all selections without deleting vehicle information from the grid.

(Vehicles Grid)

Select: The check boxes in this column indicate whether or not a vehicle's information is to be copied over to the current Inland Marine line of business form. You can select or clear a check box.

  • If a check box is selected in this vehicle's row, the vehicle's data flows to the form when you click OK.
  • If the check box is cleared, the data does not flow to the form.

Line of Business: System abbreviation for the selected policy's line of business to which the vehicle is attached. Example The Business Auto line of business appears in this column as AUTOB.

Vehicle #: The Vehicle #, as entered in the selected Policy's line of business form.

There is a 99999 vehicle sequential number system limit. Any vehicles entered past this limit will automatically be assigned # 99999. You can go into the LOB Vehicle Information grid and click Renumber to renumber all vehicles.

Cust. Vehicle #: The Customer Vehicle # as it appears in the selected Policy's line of business form.

Year: The year that the vehicle was manufactured, as entered in the selected Policy's line of business form.

Make: The vehicle make, as entered in the selected Policy's line of business form.

Model: The vehicle model, as entered in the selected Policy's line of business form.

VIN #: The vehicle identification number, as entered in the selected Policy's line of business form.

Type: From the list, select whether the vehicle is included under Transportation coverage, Motor Truck Cargo coverage, or both. When you return to the Inland Marine (C) line of business form > Vehicles section, this selection data flows to the Type field.
