Code Maintenance Utility

Your agency may use certain codes and/or descriptions which conflict with the permanent codes used by AMS360. These conflicts no longer need to be corrected prior to upgrading to a new version of AMS360.

The Code Maintenance Utility enables you to choose when to resolve conflicts found in your system as a result of permanent codes which are added during an AMS360 upgrade.

Access to this feature is only available if you are logged into AMS360 as Administrator or Owner.

For information about codes and descriptions, refer to  Company Plan Setup, Coverage and Endorsement Setup, and List Setup.

    ClosedAccessing Code Maintenance Utility

After an upgrade, if there are code conflicts and you have  System Admin or Owner security, a message pops up indicating there are conflicts to be resolved. The message contains a link to the Code Maintenance Utility as well as a checkbox "Don't remind me again this session", which defaults as checked. The message continues to display when you access a different center  if this box is unchecked. Once all the conflicts have been resolved, the message does not display.

You can also access Code Maintenance Utility from any Center by selecting Toolbox>System Administration >Utilities>Code Maintenance. If there are no conflicts to resolve, a message appears which states this.

This is a single user process. All users must be logged out of AMS360

What is this?

Retain

Use to keep the Prior Code/Description in addition to the Permanent Code/Description. If Retain is checked, checking Merge will clear the check for Retain.

Check All-Retain

Select this option if you want to retain all of the Prior Codes/Descriptions in addition to the Permanent Codes/Descriptions. You will not have to individually check each Retain box if there are several Codes/Descriptions.

Process Retain/Merge

Select this option to process action of Retain or Merge for checked grid rows. If no conflicts after processing, the lines no longer appear in the grid because the conflict no longer exists.

Cancel
