This feature, or some fields and options described, might not be available depending on your settings, security rights, or platform package.

Workflow: Adding, Editing, and Deleting Coverages and Endorsements

AMS360 includes ACORD standard Coverages and Endorsements. Use Coverage and Endorsement Setup to add company-unique or agency-defined coverages and endorsements.

    ClosedAccessing Coverage and Endorsement Setup

You can access Coverage and Endorsement Setup from any center or data entry form that has a Toolbox menu. Select Toolbox>System Administration>Coverages.

You must have proper authorization to access Coverage and Endorsement Setup.

    ClosedAdding a Coverage or Endorsement

  1. Click New. The Coverage and Endorsement data entry fields appear.

  2. Type a unique Description (up to 45 characters) and Code for the coverage or endorsement. This description appears in the Coverage list in the Policy data entry form.

  3. For personal lines coverages enter a Default Form #, if one applies. This number identifies the form number that outlines the covered perils. When you select the coverage or endorsement, this number defaults to the policy or form, but can be changed.

  1. Select the Business Type (Personal and/or Commercial) for this coverage.

  2. Select the Coverage Type (Property and/or Liability).

  3. In the Coverage Flag section:

  4. If this is a Policy Level Coverage check the option. Only coverages with this flag appear in the coverage list at the policy level. For additional information see Coverage and Endorsement Setup.

  5. Verify that Active is checked. Active coverages and endorsements appear in the coverage lists throughout AMS360.

  1. Click Addto add your new coverage.

  2. When you have finished adding coverages and endorsements, click Save or Save and Close.

    ClosedEditing a Coverage or Endorsement

  1. Select the coverage or endorsement you want to change and click Edit. The coverage or endorsement you select appears for editing. Whether a field can be edited depends on whether the coverage or endorsement has been saved. The table below lists the fields and when they can be edited.

  1. When you finish editing coverages and endorsements, click Save or Save and Close.

    ClosedDeleting a Coverage or Endorsement

A coverage or endorsement can be deleted after it is added and before it is saved. If you have already saved it, you have the option of changing the status to Inactive. See the Editing a Coverage or Endorsement section in this topic.

  1. From the list, select the coverage or endorsement (not saved) that you want to remove and click Delete. A message appears asking you to confirm the deletion. Click Yes. The coverage or endorsement disappears from the list.

  2. When you are finished deleting coverages or endorsements click Save or Save and Close.
