Report: Direct Bill Entry Statement

This report displays the transactions enter on the selected Direct Bill Entry Statement(s).

ClosedAccessing the Direct Bill Entry Statement Report

This report is accessible from any center or form with a Toolbox menu. Selecting Toolbox > Reports takes you to the Reports - All list, where you can make your selection.

Click Direct Bill Entry Statement. This opens the Report - Direct Bill Entry Statement selection form. Make your selections, pull down the File menu and select to:

Fields/Options

What is this?

Company Type

Select the Company Type for your report. The default is All. Your choices are:

  • All

  • Brokerage

  • Insurance

Company

The Company list fills based on your Company Type selection. Select one or all companies you wish to report on.

Division

Select one or all divisions you want to report on. This field is always available. The default is All.

Divisions in the list are subject to the users security.

Refresh  

Refreshes the statements available in the Statementlist, based on yourInsuranceandDivisionselections above.

Statement

Choosing a specific statement is only available if you select to report on one Insurance or one Brokerage company. It is necessary to click refresh after making your insurance/brokerage company and division choices.

Statement Date Range

Group/Field

What is this?

From List

This is the default option. Use this option to select a pre-defined date range from the list. The default is Current month minus 1.

Select Dates

Use this option to type in a specific date range not covered by the choices in the From List options.

Status

Select the Status of the statement(s) you wish to report on. Your choices are:

  • All

  • In Progress

  • Posted

  • Ready to Post

Primary Sort

Select the Primary Sort for your report (e.g., Customer). Then, choose the Secondary Sort for your report (e.g., Policy number).

Your data is sorted by customer. Within customer, the data sorts by policy number.

Secondary Sort

Override Transactions Only

To use this report as an audit report check this box to include only those transactions where the Direct Bill Entry Statement defaults were overridden/changed.

If this option is checked, be sure to un-check the Include Statement Adjustmentscheckbox as these two options are mutually exclusive.

Include Statement Adjustments

Check this box to include only those transactions where an adjustment was made outside the Direct Bill Entry Statement process.

If this option is checked, be sure to uncheck the Override Transaction Onlyoption. These two options are mutually exclusive.

Description

Accept the default description, or enter a new one that describes the report you are requesting.

Print Cover Page

Allows you to include a cover page listing the selected options included in the report. This option defaults as unchecked.

Company Statement Amount

This is the total premium and non-premium amount specified on the company generated commission statement.

Agency Statement Amount

This is the total agency premium and non-premium amount entered on the Direct Bill Entryform. This should eventually equal theCompany Statement Amount.

Difference

This is the difference between the Company Statement Amountand theAgency Statement Amount. This total should be 0.00 before the statement is posted.

Company Statement Commission

This is the total agency commission amount specified on the company generated commission statement.

Agency Statement Commission

This is the total agency commission entered on the Direct Bill Entryform. This should eventually equal theCompany Statement Commission.

Difference

This is the difference between the Company Statement Commissionand theAgency Statement Commission. This total should be 0.00 before the statement is posted.

Commission Received By Income Group

As you enter direct bill entry transactions, the transaction is assigned to an income group based on the policy LOB.

All of the individual income group totals should balance to the Agency Statement Commissiontotal because these totals all accumulate as you enter transactions.

What is this?

Name

This is the name of the customer, firm name and/or last name, first name for the direct bill entry transaction.

Policy/BU

Policy

The top line specifies the Policy Number on the direct bill entry transaction.

BU

Immediately below the policy number are the short names of the activated business unit(s) for this transaction. The Division (reported in header) and Department are required. Branch and Group are optional setups in Business Unit Setup.

This is the short name for the class of personnel assigned to the direct bill entry transaction.

Polid

The Polid is an internal code representing the Policy #for this direct bill entry transaction.
